Taash words explained: the card-game words every Pakistani player uses

Card games in Pakistan come with their own words. If you grew up hearing "rung kya hai?" or "thulla laga do!" but never knew how to explain them in English, this glossary is for you. For the names of the cards themselves (Hukam, Paan, Ikka, Badshah) see card names in English and Urdu.
Court Piece words

Bhabhi Thulla words

| Thulla | تھلا | Playing a different suit because you have none of the suit that was led. The highest card of the led suit picks up the whole trick. |
| Bhabhi | بھابھی | The loser: the last player still holding cards. |
| Getaway | گیٹ اوے | The English name of the game; also what you do when your hand is empty. |

Robbery words

Tissar Chausar words

Questions
What does rung mean in Court Piece?
Rung (رنگ) means the trump suit. The player after the dealer chooses it after seeing their first 5 cards.
What is a thulla?
In Bhabhi Thulla, a thulla is playing a different suit because you have none of the suit that was led. The player with the highest card of the led suit must pick up the whole trick.
What is the Yarak in Tissar Chausar?
The Yarak is the rank cut from the deck at the start of a deal. All four cards of that rank are wild for the deal.
